Barry Smith - Barry has been responsible
for the growth of the firm since it's inception in 1989. Prior to that
he was an area manager with Lloyds Bowmaker and with TNT. It's rumoured
that he still had hair in those days!
Outside of work Barry likes to play tennis, watch football, scuba dive
and visits the gym to keep fit.
Debra Tofts - Debra joined in 1989
and progressed from administrator to recruitment consultant. She is qualified
as a Fellow of The Recruitment and Employment Confederation (FREC). Debra
tries to bring a caring approach to the job and takes a personal interest
in her candidates. Her experience has encompassed all aspects including
interviewing candidates, meeting clients, recruitment of fee earners through
to placement of partners.
Debra has two children of school age. She enjoys going to the gym, although
can easily be persuaded not too. She has been a Chelsea football supporter
since primary school which helps in an office full of ardent football
fans.
Sarah Claydon - Having started her career in manufacturing management, Sarah felt the
"exciting", high flying world of recruitment was for her and joined a
technical and executive consultancy to specialise in purchasing and supply
chain recruitment. She joined us at the beginning of 2003 and gained the REC
Diploma in Recruitment Management. She is now a qualified Fellow of the
Recruitment and Employment Confederation (FREC) and continues to keep up to
date with changes in the industry and with employment laws by attending
various training and development courses.
Outside of working life Sarah is a life long Arsenal supporter. When not too
tired out by the hectic pace of life in recruitment she enjoys working out
at the gym then home to relax with a refreshing glass of white wine. |
Mary Lawson - Mary is our administrator.
Her responsibilities include the upkeep of the recruitment database
adding new candidates and corresponding with existing candidates. She
was new to recruitment when she joined in October 2000, having spent
20 years in bookselling.
Mary enjoys gardening, going to the theatre, cooking and dining out,
so it is just as well that she also enjoys walking and cycling. Mary
is not a football fan but we are trying to enlighten her.
Andrew Wilson -
Andy started his career as a chef working in top hotels including the Savoy Hotel London. Since starting a family he moved from the hot kitchens to work as a purchasing consultant for some of the countries leading hotel groups. In 2003 he decided to come away from his long career in catering and move into recruitment. Andy joined Law Consultants in 2007.
Andy enjoys spending his free time with his family mostly being thrashed on the Wii by his two daughters and renovating his house. With all this he still manages to fit in his real passion of motorcycling from marshalling at the Isle of Man TT to recently riding the famous route 66 starting in San Francisco visiting Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon. Since returning from the trip he is now a converted Harley Davidson owner.
Victoria Marriott - Victoria deals with our invoicing, accounts and credit control. She has also been known to type the occasional CV and assist with various marketing activities.
In her spare time she likes to keep fit by going to the gym and playing tennis. Victoria is also interested in wildlife and is a supporter of the WWF. Victoria watches some football and likes West Ham.
